Lecio Resmini

Founder & Principal – Hospitality Brokers Australia

Lecio Resmini is the Founder and Principal of Hospitality Brokers Australia, combining formal business education, equity market analysis, and hands-on hospitality ownership experience.

Lecio holds a Bachelor of Business from Central Queensland University and is an Equity Analyst, with long-term experience analysing and valuing businesses across multiple industries, including listed ASX companies. This analytical foundation underpins his disciplined, numbers-driven approach to business valuation, pricing strategy, and exit execution.

Beyond analysis, Lecio’s credibility is grounded in real transactions. Since 2009, he has personally bought, grown, operated, and sold hospitality businesses across NSW and QLD, consistently delivering strong percentage returns on invested capital.

His Track Record Includes:

Cafe La Bas (Manly, NSW)
Successfully acquired, scaled, and exited, delivering a ~1,300% return through operational improvements and strategic positioning, completed privately without agents.

Brookvale Cafe (NSW)
Acquired and grown to achieve a ~1,600% return, driven by margin optimisation, systems improvement, and improved buyer appeal.

Hideout Cafe (Dee Why, NSW)
Bought, repositioned, and sold for a ~212% return, following operational restructuring and revenue stabilisation.

Behind The Beans (NSW)
Acquired and exited with a ~1,400% return, achieved through cost discipline, brand refinement, and buyer-focused presentation.

You Had Me At Hello (Maroochydore, QLD)
Purchased, grown, and sold for a ~320% return, supported by improved operations, menu engineering, and stronger local positioning.
In addition, Lecio founded Background Coffee in NSW with no initial acquisition cost, building the business from inception into a recognised coffee wholesale and distribution brand supplying over 30 cafes across Sydney. The business was scaled, systemised, and exited in 2023, delivering a substantial multi-hundred-percent return, with transaction details intentionally kept private to protect buyer confidentiality.

Having operated as buyer, owner, operator, and seller, Lecio understands the full lifecycle of hospitality businesses and the practical levers that drive valuation. Today, he is focused on helping hospitality business owners sell efficiently, at low cost, and with maximum results, using disciplined pricing, clear positioning, and execution grounded in real-world outcomes.
